Medical Paralegal

A civil defense law firm is seeking an experienced and professional full-time paralegal with a minimum of 3 years working in a defense law firm specializing in personal injury Upgrade to see actual infondidate must be highly organized with strong research and writing skills and fully computer Upgrade to see actual infondidate must be able to work independently and comply with all law firm policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Managing files for litigation matters
Intake and organization of voluminous production documents received from clients and opposing parties
Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses and other litigation documents at the request of the attorney
Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials to assist attorneys
Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines
Communicate with attorneys to assist in all aspect of litigation
Ability to meet billing requirements
Requirements:

Experience handling both liability and damages issues
Background in medical discovery and catastrophic injury cases
Excellent communication skills
Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, and other office staff in a professional manner
Ability to interact with Court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients in a professional manner
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Must be able to work as part of a team or individually
Willingness to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion
Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of ProLaw a plus
Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge and successful experience in managing a full case load from inception to post-trial
A self-starter with excellent verbal and written skills
