We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Client Relations Specialist for our Book Production Team. Must have EXCELLENT customer service and communication skills. Must be deadline-conscious, goal-oriented, resourceful and creative. You will be assigned to several authors so you must be very organized and focused.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for authors in their book project
Track the progress of the author's book project and ensure author's engagement to keep the book project moving and completed on time
Liaise with authors and various teams involved in the project
Communicate with authors to make recommendations, provide updates and follow-up on all book project requirements
Ensure that all queries and responses from the author via
Work with other specialists and team leads to ensure completion of all projects based on a recommended timeline
Ideal Skills and Qualifications:
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Proven ability to effectively prioritize workflow
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Can speak fluent English with clients
Can manage client expectations
Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and pro-activeness
Can manage a project without micromanagement
Has a high standard of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information – extremely important
Has a keen eye for design (does not need to be a designer just needs to have an eye for it)
Can pick up software training quickly (You must become extremely proficient with Podio, our project management software.)
Strong Computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs
Experience in publishing, proofreading and content writing is an advantage
Flexible and open to working in a 24x7 work environment (Work schedule is EST: 8AM-5PM and 11AM-8PM - but you must be open to being flexible and working overtime when needed.)
Has a high-speed internet connection (DSL cable and a backup mobile internet stick) at home
Can start working full time immediately and has no plans to take an extensive holiday (3+ weeks) in the next 3 to 6 months
