JOB OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Tag and monitor fixed assets
-Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
-Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
-Issue invoices to clients
-Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
-Record cash receipts-
-Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
-Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
-Maintain the petty cash fund
-Issue financial statements
-Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
-Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
-Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements
-Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
-Maintain the chart of accounts
-Maintain the annual budget
-Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
-Process payroll in a timely manner
-Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
-Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
-Match purchase orders with invoices
-Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management
-Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts
-Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
-Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes
-Job Costing analysis on all invoices


COMPTROLLER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Developing Standards, Analyzing Information , Dealing with Complexity, Reporting Research Results, Data Entry Skills, Accounting, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
-At least 3 years experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
-Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
-Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Quickbooks and Google Sheets
-Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
-Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
-Excellent Communication skills
