JOB OVERVIEW

This person will need to be experienced in Microsoft Server, Desktop administration. Exchange account management with some server experience. Linux experience is helpful. Vmware, Storage Devices, Security, Switches. This key position will assist CSR\Tier1 support staff with issues as an escalation resource. Will monitor and perform daily maintenance tasks on core infrastructure. We are a growing managed Services provider and Enterprise consulting group. Pay is weekly on Thursday. After initial period once accepted as permanent staff you will be eligible for Bonuses based on work performance and client satisfaction. Paid vacation and sick days.
We are looking for a long term relationship many of our contractors have been with us for 10+ years. The company has been in business since 1986.

We have 4 Experience Ratings
Tier1: End user facing skilled in communications understands basic network support principals. Responsible for client interaction basic trouble shooting. Will engage Tier2 as necessary and assure tasks are completed.
Tier2: Responsible for responding to Tier1very knowledgable in all aspects of network support as it related to user interaction with systems. May understand Network design principals. Is able to diagnose and resolve many system problems. Differentiate Network, DN, TCP, Security, Antivirus, Microsoft problem and either remedy the issue or escalate to the appropriate Tier3.
Tier3: Is responsible to responding to Tier1, Tier2 and Tier4. This is the heavy Hitter basically understands and can remediate anything that is going on generally very quickly.
Tier4: Design Engineer Interacts with Sales as SME, may not have all fo the experience or know how of Tier3. Isa able to accurately document an environment, Understand all of the enterprise elements is able to explain to business level executive.

Diagnostic skills are extremely important for success.
Knowledge of Microsoft active directory, Power shell. during the first few days after hiring we will ask you to perform daily tasks completion of these tasks is essential to proving skills.

A normal day:
Client email is not working email system may be office 365, Exchange Zimbra.
Client printer performance is poor
Printer is not present need to fix GPO or login script.
Google Chrome is not working well with cloud based erp app.
Google drive is not working
Vmware server has suspended due to disk full
storage drive is giving error due to space allocation or disk failure.
Storage devices include Nimble, Equallogic, Maxta, Synology, linux server based.
Backups failing our backup application is Arcserve.
Tier1 needs help diagnosing any number of issues.

Extreme multitasking is essential.
Willingness to keep case notes updated is essential.

We are a managed services provider and take care of many networks not all are standardized.
