CPA Accountant

We are seeking a full-time employee who has experience in Canadian bookkeeping.

Daily Work Description:

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage
• Perform partial checks of the posting process
• Bank Reconciliation
• Complete tax forms
• Enter data, maintain records and prepare reports and financial statements
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handles payroll in a timely manner
• Providing administrative and clerical support as needed
Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management

Skill Sets Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• at least 2 years of experience in a similar environment
• Broad knowledge of Canadian accounting principles
• Strong expertise with ERP systems and advanced skill and experience in Excel, QuickBooks preferred
• Experience using payroll systems is a plus
• Outstanding verbal, written and technology communication skills successfully working with all levels of the organization; high proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
• Proven effectiveness in time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reputation for successfully building sustained, external third-party relationships while representing the best interests of the Company
