JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a bookkeeper to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to reconciliations.

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you MUST have previous experience with bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all accounting transactions
Interact with clients on the phone, email, and in-person
Generate invoices, statements, and reports
Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Review and approve expense reports
Review and reconcile the general ledger regularly
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Contribute to forecasting and budget planning sessions
Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm
Maintain constant communication with management and our clients
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals

Accountant Requirements and Qualifications
Work experience as an Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
VERY experienced with QuickBooks Online and financial statements
Superior math skills and an analytical mind
Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Polished phone and email etiquette
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have
Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus
Experience with accounts payable and receivable is preferred
Experience with audits, budget creation, and expense reports strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree is a plus
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
