We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Social Media Project Manager who is results oriented and can effectively prioritize tasks. Must be highly organized, quick to learn new things and can work with minimal supervision. He/she will be responsible for:
1) planning, managing and monitoring the overall progress of corporate social media projects
2) planning and writing the content for social media postings (may range from video scripts, blog posts, long posts, quotes and captions)
Primary Responsibilities:
• Resource Planning: Manage the timeline and deadlines for assets needed (videos, artwork, social media content)
• Develop a social media calendar to schedule and keep track of content creation or content postings
• Coordinate with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Post content on various social media platforms (YouTube,
• Monitor and report progress by documenting the statistics on google sheets. (Training will be provided.)
• Organize and archive completed projects for reference
• Research and propose ideas for content based on subject matter
• Plan and repurpose video content into different formats (video scripts, blog posts, quotes etc)
• Write, edit and proofread engaging content
• Deliver content in different social media platform formats (word limits, hashtags and emojis)
Ideal Skills and Qualifications:
Must have a good understanding of different social media platforms:
Must have a basic understanding of digital marketing (and the best way to market on each platform)
Has a keen understanding of how to use hashtags to gain followers, identify and use local influencers to increase following
Has the ability to write great engaging web copy in a real time environment that can stimulate user interaction, discussion and engagement. Must be able to submit samples of social media content created and posted.
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong Computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and Google Docs
Extremely detail oriented
Excellent people and interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and proactiveness
High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information – extremely important
Has a high speed internet connection (DSL/cable with back-up mobile internet stick) at home
Can start working immediately and has no plans to take an extensive holiday (3+ weeks) in the next 3 to 6 months
