The GOD’S CHILD Project is seeking a virtual assistant to help with administrative functions necessary to the smooth operation of our non-profit charity work. We run international programs that help children and families struggling in Central America and India receive education, housing, and healthcare. Our programs include schools, a children's hospital, clinics, food assistance, legal aid, psychological care, and skills training.
Some of our administrative needs for a virtual assistant might include:
1. Assist with the coordination of an international volunteer trip.
2. Help with data entry in Salesforce.
3. Make sure data information in Salesforce is clean and up to date.
4. Recruit new volunteers with online posting and media engagement.
5. Conduct post-engagement followup.
5. General administrative assistance when necessary.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative, public, volunteer, and event-related tasks. S/he will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be good at communication, follow through, organization, logistics, flexible and able to help with both scheduled administrative functions and random tasks that can come up. Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, and communication are VERY important to this job.
S/he may need to communicate with a wide-range of members of society of all ages, including coworkers, volunteers, benefactors and potential benefactors, and the
S/he needs to be comfortable working with the media as part of the project’s team, and may be asked to set up a system for communicating with the media through press releases and written and verbal communication in a local, regional, national, and international arena.
S/he may be asked to assist with and be responsible for arranging for GOD’S CHILD Project ServiceTeam and Volunteer program participants to speak, upon their return to the States, to service clubs, organizations, schools and multi-denominational churches, and to prepare them to help out at special events, and to meet community desire for greater interaction in assisting poor people in the world.
S/he will have additional responsibilities as they develop.
