Nutritionist or Dietitian for Nutrition Associate Position. (Home Based Opportunity)

This position is ONLY for a Full time (40 hours per week) Position. Must be available for training and meetings during U.S. business hours.

A leading Nutrition software company with customers in over 100 countries is hiring a Full Time Nutrition Associate to manage our nutrition data. We create nutrition software and part of that software has nutrition data captured from internet sites. The nutrition candidate will help enter additional nutrient data not captured by our data entry team in our internal data entry tool and use their background to help determine the right type of data to enter in our application.

1. For example, if we need to update McDonald’s nutrition info the candidate will go to McDonalds website and pull the nutrition information for each item like burgers fries etc. find a similar product in our database and then update the nutrition values like calories, fat etc.
2. Also look at the ingredients list of foods on the internet sites see if they contain any animal products, are they organic, gluten free, etc.
3. Look at the ingredients and determine the types of food groups for example grain, fruit, vegetable, dairy etc.

• We will train them on how to use our internal data entry nutrition tool.
• They will work with our internal team and they will communicate with Manufacturers via email as needed to ask questions about the food’s nutrition information.
• Answer questions on software features, give product training via web meeting.


SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Have a college degree in biology, nutrition, food science required.
• Food science, Nutrition or similar health related job experience a plus.
• Be very detail oriented and careful with data and be willing to work with this type of information.
• Be able to use Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Be reliable, organized, manage your time well
• Previous Quality Assurance or detail oriented work a plus.
• Good English verbal communication skills
• Good written English skills
• Good English comprehension Skills
• Noise Free working environment where you can concentrate.
• Reliable, and a Team player.
• Good, reliable computer
• Strong, secure Internet connection

This work requires you to work from your home - Flexibility is required as the hours can be your daytime or evening hours. Some night hours might be needed during training time, and for team meetings and working with the data team.

Hardware Requirements:

Processor should be 2.4 ghz and above, intel core 5/7 or equal is highly required
Ram should be at least 8 gig with 100 gb free disk space
Should have a back up computer with the same specs
A Headset with noise cancelling feature is a must for training, team meetings and when speaking with manufacturers.
At least 10 mbps and wired connection for main isp
Access to consistent internet, including ideally backup generators if power is down.
