WordPress/PHP Back-End Web Developer

We are seeking a web developer with expertise in WordPress back-end development (including custom plugin development) as well as building and editing custom PHP/MySQL applications and websites.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional web development experience. Preference will be given to those who have expertise in:

- Writing PHP "from scratch" as well as working with a variety of PHP frameworks
- Editing and troubleshooting existing (and sometimes outdated) procedural and object-oriented PHP code
- Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Working with Genesis and other popular WP frameworks
- WordPress security, maintenance, and performance optimization principles
- Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and other related technologies
- Integrating third-party APIs and developing new APIs
- WHM/cPanel, ManageWP, AWS, and other hosting environments
- Communicating clearly in written English

This would be a contract position, with negotiable hours and compensation. The initial contract would be for 90 days, with the possibility of extending the contract to one year or longer.
