Notebook brand looking to add a graphic designer to our team! We create journals, planners (daily/weekly/monthly), blank books for specific audiences like travel journals, blank recipe books, wedding planners, guest books - and many more!
We are looking for someone who can create book interiors based on specific direction - must have strong layout design skills and have experience with how to layout books for printing. Some book covers may be requested but the bulk of the work will be book interiors.
Please read the entire job description, answer the questions at the end and send your portfolio.
Please make sure that your portfolio shows specific BOOK interiors that you have done.
After reviewing your portfolio and answers to the below questions we may contact you with a PAID design assignment and from there we will decide if we will work together.
Pay will be per layout (most books repeat 1-4 layouts throughout the book) and will be dependent on how complex the layout is, but most likely will be $4-$15 a layout.

Able to take direction and make changes to designs.
Able to review a “mood board” or inspiration images and then provide designs based on those.
Able to review existing layouts and design your own, UNIQUE, versions of them.
Flexible schedule and able to reply quickly to design requests (as in “Hi I got your request let me review and see if I have questions and I will let you know very soon when I can get this back to you.”).
Able to turn around layouts in 2-5 days (or an agreed upon timeline).
Knowledge/understanding of intellectual property rights - all designs MUST BE original (this will be monitored closely).
Must be familiar with creative briefs/project assignments/mood boards
Please answer the following questions in your
Do you use journals or planners in your daily life?

What do you like to do for fun? Besides graphic design :)
Thank you! We look forward to reviewing your work.
