JOB OVERVIEW

Introduction

We’re an award-winning UK-based foodtech startup looking for a UI / UX designer who can turn simple briefs, concepts and wireframes into development-ready visual designs, for our mobile app and web platform.

You will be part of a remote product team working from home, and work closely with the CEO and tech team to improve our product and develop the business.

Responsibilities:

Work with the product team to sketch basic concepts from simple briefs, using the most appropriate tools for the job (e.g. wireframing, process flows, sitemaps etc). Prepare rough drafts to stakeholders for feedback.
Turn basic wireframes into fully fledged visual designs using Sketch or Adobe tools (preference for Sketch).
Edit designs as required based on feedback, and create clickable prototypes.
Create UI elements that are consistent with our branding, and that communicate clearly and effectively.
Draft short briefs / user stories explaining the purpose of the designs for the technical team.
Look for areas of improvement throughout our product, and suggest design enhancements.
Continue to learn and keep up with developments in user-centred design techniques and tools.
Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

3-5 years experience in a similar role, with an emphasis on mobile UI. Preference for consumer-focussed products
Higher education in design or a related field is preferable but not essential
Updated work portfolio showing completed work and problems solved
Great communicator in English, both written and spoken.

Benefits:

PHP 45K - 60K total monthly salary depending on experience
15 days paid leave plus Philippines national holidays
