JOB OVERVIEW

Hi there,

Union Square Consulting has been growing at well over 100% the last few years and is looking for a dynamic new team member to manage bookkeeping and perform various challenging and exciting tasks to help in sales, marketing and operations. This role will be full-time and offer the opportunity to grow with the company for years to come.

This is not a part-time, temporary role but rather an opportunity to grow your career and help play an instrumental role in building a hyper growth company.

We are looking for a full-time bookkeeper and virtual assistant to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, with a one-hour lunch every day. Please confirm in your application that you are available for this schedule.
Pay for these jobs can be between $500 and $1,000 per month depending on experience and capabilities and candidate must have excellent verbal and written English and be extremely detail oriented and organized.

--------------------------BOOKKEEPING ROLE------------------------------
The bookkeeping will take between 5 and 10 hours per week.

Must be extremely proficient in Quickbooks and Excel and very fast at data entry while having an extremely high level of attention to detail. Must be able to learn new software tools like Harvest and Salesforce which will be simple to learn for this job.

We use Projects in Upgrade to see actual info's a new feature that allows us to track Invoices and Expenses/Bills on each project and calculate profitability by the project.

Need someone that understands Quickbooks Projects or can learn quickly. When you write to me please address me as Edward so I know you read everything thoroughly.

I need help with the following:

1. Entering and Updating Invoices
- All Invoices are entered on day one of Project
- These invoices add up to the total amount of Project over the timeline of the project
- If an invoice needs to be changed, the other invoices need to be changed too so that all invoices add up to the same total amount outlined in the contract

2. Entering and Updating Bills
- Same goes for Vendor payments as with Invoices
- We create all expected Bills on day 1 and then update them as vendors invoice us

Need this done once a week, preferably on Monday morning. This project will be ongoing and growing. If you are good at other things I could also use your help with many administrative tasks.

3. Monthly tasks
- Must review accounting once a month to make sure everything is accurate and close books at month end


--------------------------VIRTUAL ASSISTANT------------------------------
This role is a lot less well defined. I need help with anything and everything you can do for me so I can free up my time.

This could include:
1. Doing online research
2. Managing my calendar and email (after we have worked together a while)
3. Setting appointments
4. Researching software and tools I am considering buying
5. Helping with recruiting
- Searching Upwork and LinkedIn for good candidates
- Reviewing applications
- Screening applications and giving me the best ones
6. Helping with personal issues
- Booking a doctors appointment for me
- Researching travel
7. Etc.

This job will require you to be very good at figuring things out on your own. Please address me as Edward in your reply so I know you have good attention to detail.
