We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our IT team! As a WordPress Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. We focus on websites for the Food and Beverage industry. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems. WordPress Developer duties and responsibilities
* Designing and implementing new features and functionality
* Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
* Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
* Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

WordPress Developer requirements and qualifications
* Expert understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
* Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
* Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
* Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
* Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
* Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

* Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
* Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
* Knowledge of PHP frameworks. Genesis Frameworks strongly desired.

* Familiar with DNS and Domain Management is a plus.
* Familiar with Facebook tracking pixels, Google tag managers, schema mark up, etc.

* Integrating sliced PSD files (usually already converted to HTML/CSS) into WordPress
* Expert understanding of WooCommerce
* Expert Understanding of Gravity Forms
* Monitoring health and uptime of servers (general server admin in a managed services environment; no in-depth configuration required)
* Integrating with third-party APIs
* Building out responsive layouts
* Developing wireframe mockups to illustrate possible solutions
* Developing new plugins for WordPress is a plus but not necessary
* Developing documentation for the websites (both at the code level, and general user level)
* Detail-oriented in context of a fast-paced environment
* Capable of hitting daily deadlines
* Exceptional analytical skills
