JOB OVERVIEW

Forum Moderator Wanted

You are the kind of person who loves to mix it up and challenge people, but in a good way.

To push them beyond their excuses to achieving the results they say they want and then some.

To inspire them to actually live the life of their dreams, even as you are living yours.

You love digging into the meat of things to see below the surface and behind the scenes and bring out the interesting aspects that actually make things work.

You search the web far and wide for things that pertain to the topic at hand.

You love to find those gems hidden in all the dirt, and bring them back to your group, shined up and polished so that everyone can enjoy their sparkle.

You can find joy, interest, and something to talk about in almost any subject and topic, including ones that others find boring. You specialize in adding value and making even mundane subjects exciting.

You love interacting with people from around the world both those who are the best at what they do as well as the newbies and everyone in between.

You make everyone in the group feel better about themselves, the group, and the mission you are all on together.

You love writing, interviewing, and creating content that will not only be entertaining, but will be really useful as well.

You are an excellent writer and can communicate in written English in an engaging and compelling way.

You look everywhere for interesting people to share their stories, their tips for success, and their very lives with your group.

You stand up to bullies and inspire them along with the others in the group to bring out their best selves and help each other to succeed as both a team, and as individuals on that team.

You get people to police themselves and each other in ways that strengthen the esprit d'corps.

You love to create, oversee, and participate in forum events such as parties, contests, meetups, and more.

Your dream job is to get paid to help people solve their problems and become part of a team that in turn helps others.

You are open to working for awhile without pay as you build something that is important to you and that can payoff big in more ways than one.

You have a vision of a place where one can go to interact with the top people in the industry. Where you have contact with each, and are respected by all, simply because you bring them together and inspire them to even higher levels of greatness.

You eat challenges and obstacles for breakfast and find creative ways to turn them into assets, building blocks, and paving stones to your greater success.

When faced with a challenge, you thank God for it and ask Him for wisdom on how to deal with it. Then obediently implement what He tells you and celebrate the miracles you get to see as a result.

If the above really is a perfect description of you, then we want you on our team.

Before you jump to join us though, let me try to scare you off by telling you some of the bad news about the job.

I figure that if I can scare people off by telling some of the truths of this job then I can save us all a lot of time by only interviewing and hiring those who truly belong.

If at any point in this hiring process someone decides they want out, and that it is not for them, then they can leave with no hard feelings on my Upgrade to see actual info fact, I will be truly grateful to them for recognizing that early and saving me time, and I will sincerely wish them well as they continue their search.

You may, by this point, be wondering about some of the specifics of the job itself.

Well, let me take a few moments now to talk about those.

Our company creates other companies, specifically associations, user groups, fan clubs, etc.

We have several social media sites with forums, blogs, and Marketplaces for which we need some Moderators.

The Moderator would be in charge of:
creating and curating content for the site,
moderating comments on the blog and forum posts,
inviting outsiders to come check out the site,
interviewing interesting people in the industry and writing up your discoveries,
answering questions,
and other such things that pertain to being the moderator of a popular social site.

You set your own hours. And work from wherever you have access to the internet.

We provide you with tools and guidelines like an editorial calendar, style guides, and advanced training.

For the most part though you are free to accomplish the goals we set together however you see fit.

You could even hire others to help you with some of your tasks, if you wish, as long as you take care of their pay out of yours, and you treat them well so that things do not reflect badly on our company.

As far as your own compensation goes, you would be getting a cut of whatever revenue the site brings in.

We have several monetization methods built-in already and are looking to add more.

Plus, we can provide you with step-by-step instructions, ongoing coaching, and other support to get the site earning you a great living doing what you love as quickly as possible.
