JOB OVERVIEW

We are a performance marketing agency based in Victoria, BC, Canada and are looking to hire a full time Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our growing team!

We are a team of online marketing experts that help companies achieve their goals using digital advertising (think Facebook ads, Google ads, etc). We work with many different advertisers to promote their products and even have some of our own digital assets and products. We're a fun group of people who really enjoy working together and love the work we do.

WE WANT YOU IF YOU ARE:

- Experienced, we want someone who knows their way around a balance sheet, p&l statement and forecasting. Don't be shy, tell us what you've done.
- Must be fully fluent in english. We run a complicated business and if we can't communicate properly, this position isn't for you.
- Must be able to work very independently. We have a great team, and love to chat over Slack and Skype, but we're also very busy and you must be able to solve problems and get tasks done on your own.
- We use XERO accounting software. You must have experience with XERO and know the platform inside and out.
- You must LOVE Google Sheets. We use these extensively in our business and you must be able to edit complicated sheets and present your findings in excel documents on a regular basis.
- You must have an understanding of Canadian tax law and accounting principals. You don't need to know it inside and out right now, but you must be able to present an ability to learn
- You must be VERY ORGANIZED! :)

YOUR DAILY TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

- General account/transaction reconciliation (bank statements are imported daily automatically, we need to make sure all accounts are up to date on a daily basis)
- Manual transaction entries from other sources that don't automatically get pulled into Xero
- Creating and sending clients invoices for Weekly, BiMonthly and Monthly billing cycles
- Auditing Accounts Receivables and reaching out to clients who are overdue on their bills
- Auditing Accounts Payables
- Managing cashflow & forcasing
- Weekly accounting update reports sent to management
- Reconciling numbers between advertisers platforms and our platforms, figuring out why if they don't match
- Making sure daily numbers sheets (these are where the staff keep track of campaign success) are fully up to date
