Web Designer & Developer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented web designer and developer to handle website projects and web design related work. You will be responsible for A-Z website creation and upkeep, as well as supporting design work.

Please note: Our average expected website turnover time (from design conceptualization to development, testing and delivery) is 2 weeks for business websites built on Wordpress platform.

Skills required:
- Ability to handle website projects independently (design, code, and test)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX
- Excellent seamless cross-browser compatibility
- Good understanding of mobile-friendly and functional design
- In-depth coding and development knowledge

Technical skills:
- HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, API’s
- Custom Wordpress
- E-Commerce, Magento & Woocommerce
- Payment gateway integrations
- Photoshop, Indesign

Responsibilities:
- Create website layout / user interface based on functional wireframes
- Write and code website using clean, efficient development practices
- Ensure sites are optimized for speed, function and SEO
- Create landing pages
- Load content and maintain website upkeep
- Test website functionality
- Create and maintain software documentation

Additional Responsibilities:
- Design email newsletters
- Integrate email newsletters in email marketing softwares such as MailChimp
- Design marketing banners and GIF’s for Google Ads and Facebook Ads
- Design visuals for social media

General overview of the monthly job tasks:
- 1 website project per month
- Maintenance / upkeep work of running websites (fix any errors that may come up)
- Design work for newsletters, banners, social media
