The more experience you have with Wordpress Development and Linux Server Management the better - the rest we will teach you.

WHO WE ARE:

We are a company that offers Wordpress Web Development and recurring Wordpress Management. We take on new WP projects on a regular basis, where we do custom plugins, custom themes and WP customizations for our clients. We also offer a Recurring Wordpress Maintenance Service that include:

* Wordpress Website Backups
* Safe Wordpress/Plugins Updates
* Migration to VPS
* Quick Fixes When Website Breaks

WHO YOU ARE:

You need to be well versed in Wordpress and have experience writing custom plugins/themes, customizing Wordpress using a child theme and hooks. Medium to Advanced Linux Server management is also a requirement - we will teach you the specifics you need to know for the projects, but prior experience is important.

Communication is of the highest importance to us. You need to be a good communicator who is not afraid to tell us when you don’t understand, are unable to complete a task and if there is anything you need from us in order to complete a task. We are happy to explain things and teach you - all you need to do is ask!

If you are a good communicator and can explain complex website issues then we’d love for you to eventually take over communications with our clients. This would come with a significant pay raise once that day comes.

REQUIREMENTS:

* 3 to 5 years experience in Wordpress development
* Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, etc.
* Strong experience with PHP 5+ and MySQL database
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
* Ability to work with UNIX commands
* Self-driven, does not need to be directed
* Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

When we have ongoing client projects you will work with us to develop websites/themes/plugins for our clients. The tasks will range from small layout fixes to complex backend logic for custom plugins. You will start off small and work your way up to more complex tasks.

Your every day tasks for our Wordpress Management Service will involve SSHing into remote servers, checking overall server health and logs, running backup scripts, managing GIT version control, updating plugins, checking website frontend and error logs for breakages. If and when something breaks you need to be proficient enough to fix it. If for ANY reason you are unable to fix the issue we need you to COMMUNICATE this with us, so that we can step in quickly and fix things.

Your regular tasks will include:
* Wordpress Development (custom plugins/themes and WP customizations)
* Linux VPS management
* Website Migrations
* Git Management
* Wordpress debugging - check logs and website and quickly find out what is broken and be able to fix it.
