JOB OVERVIEW

Hey!

My name is Adam. My wife Nellie and I started N&A as a brand development company specializing in delivering high quality and high value products across our multiple business lines and product categories. We develop and sell products in the categories of: Sport & Outdoors, Industrial, Education, Health/Medical/Therapeutic, and Home, Kitchen, and Garden products. We sell on Amazon around the world.

To help bring order into this chaos we are looking to hire someone to help us systemize all the processes in our company and better manage all business activities, so that we can scale.

What you'll be doing will be extremely important for us...

Why?

Because you'll be helping us organize and execute on our current businesses so the leadership team (CEO and Partner) can take myself out of the operations and focus on strategy to expand.

Currently this is the bottleneck in the business!

And that’s where you come in…

If selected for the role, you going to help me finish systemizing our entire operation from hiring, onboarding, supply chain, marketing, and customer service so we can plug other people into key roles and keep good tabs on the schedule, deliverables, and efficiency…you will be a key player in us achieving a huge milestone.

The Operations Manager role at our company is an opportunity to use your project management, leadership and marketing skills to take a growing business to the next level! The right candidate will enjoy setting big goals, thrive in a fast moving environment, and will be responsible for important parts of our business.

It goes without saying that a successful applicant will be an outstanding organizer and process builder. This is important! You will need to help systematize our business and also manage it. The right person for this role will be able to provide management as well as hands on execution for our brands.

Questions for YOU:

Do you love to create order from chaos?
Do you love creating process maps and writing manuals?
Do you thrive by checking items off your list?
Are you so organized that you help keep others around you organized?
Do you charge ahead through obstacles so you can reach your goals?
Are you comfortable with tech (ok with learning how to use apps like slack, trello, asana, or basecamp)?
Are interested in the details? Like when something is off it drives you crazy? (some people call that OCD)…

You need to answer yes to all these questions to realistically be a good fit for this position.

This is not the time to fake it until you make it…we are going to push hard over the next six weeks to get started and then this will become long term if you can keep up!!

We have great expectations for you if you are selected for this position. We want you to succeed. And we want you to succeed at a high level + enjoy your role here.

Our team is dedicated and driven. This is a senior position in a high growth and fun environment. Therefore the requirements are HIGH AND YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR AN E-COMMERCE PRODUCTS COMPANY (AMAZON & SHOPIFY, UNDERSTANDING SOURCING & SELLING ON AMAZON). This is a HARD requirement but if you do not please don’t apply...

The right candidate will be in charge of:
Managing overall project timelines for the different business segments like Design, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain.
Be responsible for hitting the KPI’s (goals) of our multiple brands.
Meet with CEO, managers and staff on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Manage, mentor and grow a successful team. You will be responsible for meeting hiring goals
Manage team budgets and project budgets.
Ensure that the Supply Chain team is on time and on budget. This will mean you will work closely with our Product Manager to keep supply chain moving.
Help define and build enablement tools, SOP’s and processes that bring operational efficiencies.
All new product launches and brand expansion projects across existing and new marketplaces as well as future business expansion plans.

About us:

You'll be working for people who are nice, fair, and who care about their employees, and people who will support you.

They also have very high standards. We expect employees to be excellent and push toward the goals. We holds others (and ourselves) accountable and require employees to prioritize competing demands so that they focus on the most important outcome of any given day.

You will be rewarded for excellent performance because we respects excellence. It is not a common trait.

What is common - missed deadlines, excuses, poor quality work...those "common" traits will not work in this organization.

We like to give an exact and descriptive outcome we want to achieve and expect employees to work towards that desired future state.

Pro = Myself and our team are very picky and clearly articulate what we want. Sometimes these goals are very lofty and too much for the average person to achieve. You will need to have emotional intelligence or “common sense” to figure things out and get it done, no excuses.

Con = We are entrepreneurs running startups... we get involved in many things, sometimes things don’t get completed or get shelved, we move quickly, and to be honest we aren’t the best managers…you’ll have to come to terms with this.

Company Culture :
Candidate must possess all of these skills or at least be willing to adopt them in keeping with our company’s goals and mission.
Ability to work independently where need be
Be a team player and friendly; get along with everybody on the team.
Understand our vision and mission to help with expansion and growth on the plan.
Be flexible to change and know how to think outside the box. Always ready to learn new skills and challenge the status quo. Take risks and be bold to explore new territories.
Show up everyday, and always bring your A game to help keep the morale of the team and company in a positive frequency.
Possess a personal development practice whether it be meditation/yoga or any other self development practice.
