JOB OVERVIEW

I am a business owner and CEO living in San Francisco, California. I have a wonderful family with two young boys, 3 and 6 years old. My life is very busy so I'm looking for a full-time assistant to help me with a range of personal and work tasks. I'm looking for someone who is interested in American culture, has exceptional written and spoken English, and is excited about getting to know me and helping me. I hope we can work together for many years!

It's important that you:

• Have previous experience as a professional assistant;
• Are very organized and experienced giving regular updates;
• Are a strong writer in the style of American business communication;
• Are fast at typing and using a range of standard business software (such as Gmail).

The pay for this job will be between Php 20,000.00 - 45,000.00/month depending on your experience. In the beginning I can pay weekly to establish trust.

In this job:

• Can you help me plan something special for my wife's birthday?
• Can I show you pictures of my two kids and tell you about them so you can help me have good ideas for presents?
• Can you help me research vacations and look for fun things to do with my kids when I arrive?

About half of this job will be helping me with personal things such as the ones above, and about half of this job will be helping me in my work. For example:

Every day, I would like you to check my email and personal Facebook to organize things, prioritize, and help me to draft replies and schedule meetings.

Every week, I would like you to organize my family photos, summarize what happened in my week, and prepare a list of articles for me to read the following week.

In addition, there will be a range of special projects such as planning vacations and researching different topics.

In this job it's important that we can overlap the times that we work as much as possible. I live in California so 6:00am in the Philippines is 2:00pm in California. The ideal schedule for this job would be for you to do most of your work between 6:00am - 2:00pm Philippines time, with a brief check-in around 9:00pm. However, I can be flexible to figure out the best times that work for you.

In this job, it’s important that we get to know each other and that you learn about me so you can help me with personal projects. Let me tell you a little bit about myself:

I am 38 years old. I was born in the United States but I have traveled to many places around the world: Japan, Korea, Thailand, and much of Europe. I lived for a few years in Japan when I was young. Ever since I was a kid I have been interested in science and technology. I taught myself about computers when I was young and went to university to study computers, and soon after finishing at the university I got married to my lovely wife.

About 8 years ago I moved to California to start a new business of my own. In my business we help teach children science in their schools. I love teaching children and I love learning about science.

I have two kids of my own, my oldest is 6-years old and he loves to build things. Legos are his favorite toy. My younger boy is 3-years old and he loves animals and art.
