Wordpress Web Developer and SEO specialist

Mactec Electrical is seeking to hire a digital web-designer with a passion for designing and coding websites. The role entails creating clean, visually appealing sites with user-friendly design and navigation.

Starting you will help design the sites and landing pages. We would then have you help with all aspects in maintaining and posting new and relative information.

At the start we would require some time from you, but after the initial projects were completed you would then be required some hours a week to help with maintaining, rectify and publish work.

Your responsibilities:
• Translate requirements into concepts and elegant user experiences
• Design functionality; Prepare mock-ups of rough designs
• Develop site navigation by categorizing content and funnelling traffic through content
• Experience developing intuitive interfaces
• Ability to generate innovative designs
• Write, design, use system administrators to ensure the website will fulfill its purpose
• Upgrade site by regularly updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; introducing new technology

Your Skills
• Strong Design / Visual presentation skills with an impressive self-made website portfolio of recent work
• Excellent understanding of UI development for web, technology trends and demonstrable design skills
• Come from a design background and with understanding of key design principles
• Proven passion for all things digital (web, tablets, mobile, video, social)
• Sound working experience in HTML, Wordpress, CSS and Javascript as well as proficiency in Adobe Suite
• Desirable experience would include PHP and working knowledge of databases
• Must have SEO and SEM experience
• Strong focus on responsive design/best practices
• Effective time management skills
• Team player
• Sound communication skills
• Detail orientated and ability to managing staff expectation throughout the design life cycle.
