Are you looking for a seriously kickass job as a content marketer?
The e-commerce company I started almost 4 years ago has quickly grown into a 5 person company with over 50,000 customers. We’re based in Texas and have a combined 30 years experience in the security industry, specifically in the area of spy cameras, GPS trackers, covert investigations, and more.
For 2018, we want to triple the size of our company and we’re ready to invest in top-notch content for our website. You’d be getting in on the next phase of our company.
In the last 6 months we’ve:
• Invested in completely new branding
• Created a brand new, state of the art e-commerce website
• Built a YouTube studio in our offices to constantly create new videos
• Starter the process to begin manufacturing our own products
• Built a content marketing strategy to execute in
Examples of content you’ll write include:
• Multiple blog articles weekly, typically 2,
• Ultimate guides for topics in our business and product categories
• ‘Roundup’ blog posts detailing security news that happened in the past week
• The occasional product descriptions for our website
• Instruction manuals once we start manufacturing our own products

• Light Google Adwords copy

This is a huge role and I'm counting on you to really know your stuff. You’ll be expected to know how to write well, what customer psychology is, how to write content that speaks to our customer and persuades them. We could hire anyone to write a simple blog post - we’re hiring you because you’re GREAT at it.
You’ll be expected to have read (or will immediately read) various books on writing and content marketing that I consider important. I will also give you access to a premium copywriting course that cost over $2,000 USD in order to help you do your job well.
Let’s talk about that! In an effort to set you up for success, I’ll be doing the following things to make sure you have what you need to do an outstanding job.
• Working with you to create a style guide to make it as easy as possible to write consistently
• Setup templates for the ~5 types of blog posts we’ll be doing
• Give you a list of over 200 blog topics that we’ve already created
• Give you over 8 ‘ultimate guides’ that are completed but need to be perfected
• My entire staff is available to answer your industry/product/audience related questions for your research
• Give you all SEO and keyword related info to make each piece of content a hit
• Give you all copies of company resources such as ebooks and courses
• We will make videos for every blog post you write to enhance the content
• Setup a content calendar so everything is predictable
• Hire art talent to make your blog posts interesting to look at

• Wicked awesome writing skills

• Something in your resume that tells me more about you, why you want this
• Marketing skills. Know how to give people what they want.
• Basic research skills (Google)
• Basic knowledge of tech
• Knowledge of SEO and maybe tools like Ahrefs (we have this for you)
• Ability to make an awesome content system
