WordPress/Node JS Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a WordPress/Node JS Developer who is responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Creating and deploy Child Theme Development for future updates.
Writing effective, clean code with enough comments so other team members can understand it and can start working from his code.
Writing UI components as short codes. Each code should have a comment and example parameter how to use it before the definition of each function.
Creating individual stylesheets and JavaScript files for each template so they work like a 3rd party. The stylesheets should be imported so they can be used for templates.
Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

Skills and Qualifications

3+ years of experience in WordPress Theme, WordPress Plugins, WordPress Widget Development
Flexibility to work with WordPress core functions like WordPress Loop
Rich experience with APIs such as Payment Gateways, Social Media, Google APIs, etc.
Experience in building web applications on node platform. He must have experience in Node frameworks, Express.js, & Mongo DB. Experience with frameworks like Upgrade to see actual info or Hapi.js is an advantage
Experience in Angular JS/Angular 2. Must be familiar with familiar with e2e test and TDD or BDD
