PHP (LAMP) Developer

We are seeking a talented, self-motivated PHP (LAMP) Developer with good front and back end development skills to work on a variety of web, mobile and ecommerce projects. We follow a fast paced agile approach and expect all team members to be able to work well independently and collaboratively. Individuals need to demonstrate good time management skills, resourcefulness and ability to perform to deadlines. Individual must be able to learn and apply new technologies in project assignments.

What you will do:

Responsible for front-end and back-end development
Developing web, mobile and eCommerce websites
Working with PHP CMS platforms to deliver content based websites.
Writing PHP based applications from scratch using relevant frameworks, technologies and tools
Developing webservices and integration of 3rd party webservices.
Translating designs into HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery pages
Working with version control systems to maintain code (We use GIT)
Shipping working code, features and modules every week

Work Experience & Skills:

Degree in the following discipline: Computer Science, Software Engineering or related software development field.
3+ years of PHP development and object oriented programming (OOP).
Experience with one or more PHP Frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Zend Framework, etc.
Experience writing custom functionality for Wordpress and/or Magento is a plus
Experienced working on MySQL to design and develop against database schemas
Experienced with the LAMP stack including technologies such as CentOS, Ubuntu, Mod PHP, PHP-APC, Nginx, Memcache, Varnish
Competent with the Linux command line.
MVC design patterns/frameworks experience
Experienced throughout the software development lifecycle including solution design, development, testing and deployment.
Working in a continuous integration environment
Experience writing testable code using unit tests
Proficient with HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery
Proficient working with distributed version control systems such as Git or Mecurial
