JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a confident, professional, and well-spoken Outbound Telemarketer / Appointment Setter to contact referral partners for an Australian psychology and mental health business.

This role involves calling professional organisations and introducing our psychology services, then booking referral-development meetings or follow-up calls.

You will be contacting organisations such as:

NDIS Support Coordinators
NDIS Local Area Coordinators
Plan Managers
WorkCover rehabilitation providers
Return-to-work coordinators
GPs
Psychiatrists
Allied health providers
Schools
Lawyers
Community organisations
Disability providers
Aged-care providers

The goal is not hard selling. The goal is to professionally introduce the business, identify whether the organisation may refer clients, and book a meeting or next step.

About the Services

The business provides psychology and assessment services, including:

Therapy
NDIS psychology
WorkCover psychology
Mental health treatment
Forensic and court-related psychology reports
IQ assessments
ADHD assessments
ASD assessments
Cognitive assessments
Functional assessments

You do not need to be a psychologist. Training will be provided. However, you must be professional, respectful, and able to speak appropriately with healthcare, disability, legal, and community-sector professionals.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

Making outbound calls to referral partner organisations
Asking for the correct decision-maker or referral contact
Briefly introducing the psychology business and services
Identifying whether the organisation refers clients for psychology or assessments
Booking meetings or follow-up calls
Updating the CRM accurately after each call
Recording call outcomes clearly
Creating follow-up tasks where needed
Sending approved follow-up emails or SMS messages
Following scripts and objection-handling guides
Reporting daily call activity and results
Attending training and feedback sessions
Improving performance based on coaching
Required Skills

Excellent spoken English
Confidence making outbound calls
Professional phone manner
Ability to follow a script naturally

Ability to update CRM notes accurately
