JOB OVERVIEW
Permanent role, starting with 20 hours per week (Australian afternoon hours preferred, but morning is OK if you have afternoon commitments), with possibility to increase to 30 and 40 hours per week over the next 4 to 12 months.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a clever and qualified Accountant, CPA member, to be a valued part of our small business savvy team.
The ideal candidate must have strong integrity as you will be working with highly confidential business information. Also you will have strong communication abilities to help communicate various business scenarios into Excel models, to help us with business and financial decision making.
This position will work directly with the business owner who is a long term qualified Australian Accountant.
As this is a permanent position, and we’re looking for a minimum 2 year commitment from you.

GENERAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Good conversational and written English.
Must be a CPA.
Demonstrated advanced Excel abilities, mainly for modelling and producing management accounting reports. For example, modelling the costs, revenues and profits for a new line of products, or where launching existing products into a new country. The excel model would follow best practice modelling techniques for easy ‘what if’ analysis. EG, What if we changed the sales price, quantity, or cost drivers etc to easily see the financial impact.
Experience with a financial accounting system like QuickBooks Online. We’ll be implementing this soon.
General broad accounting exposure to P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management accounting.
Prior experience working remotely with an Australian, USA or UK English speaking business.
Australian BAS reporting would be nice, but not essential.
Advanced computer skills.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Good self-management capabilities and strong interpersonal skills.
Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

MORE ABOUT THE JOB
A true and broad company accounting role in a small fast growing business, reporting to the CEO / owner who is an Australian qualified accountant. Under the owner’s direction you’ll be inputting to, and helping manage the Quickbooks online cloud based accounting system, and creating management accounting reports in Excel and Quickbooks.
Other responsibilities include various compliance and regulatory support work relating to a small to medium sized business. Eg Taxes in Australia and selected Asian countries, and insurance.
Guaranteed 20 hours per week, possibly increasing to 30 or 40 Hours Per Week over the next 4-12 months.
Nice Australian hours, which can be flexible times. Generally 1.30 - 5.30 pm Brisbane time initially while 20 hours per week.

REWARDS AND PAY
Base salary, 185 to 265 Ps per hour. Based on a 20 hour week (4 hours per weekday), from 16,000 to 23,000 PHP depending on experience. Plus
