Summary:

A typical week includes working with Product Managers and fellow engineers to understand and clarify new feature requests that support business goals, ensuring that sufficient test plans are in place.
You will work with fellow Test Automation engineers to discover new ways of creating and executing tests and can be expected to provide hands-on development as-well.
By providing guidance on testing methodologies, you will help keep the entire team accountable for the quality of work released in our sprints.
Finally, you will help create and oversee processes that support test, staging and post-production defect handling so that the quality of our software is well guarded and defects minimized through automation and a careful orchestrated release processes with help from systems engineers.

Our ideal candidate:

She/He will have experience with various automation frameworks, a strong understanding of software QA best practices within agile environment and a passion for quality.
The ability to query databases, understand scripting languages for automation and navigating Linux environments is also a necessity.

In this role, you will be working with a cross-functional, collaborative environment, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are a must.
And also very important, we are looking for people who can prioritize, multi-task and deliver.

Skills & requirements:

• 4+ years of testing and building functional automation tests
• Experience with automated test tools and frameworks
• Experience building maintainable and efficient tests using Java-based tools like Arquillian, JTest, Selenium, The Grinder and/or JUnit
• Programming experience is a plus
• Knowing QA best practices and how to create processes to drive quality in a product
• Being comfortable working with a cross-functional team of developers and quality engineers to develop innovative automated testing solutions
• Solid understanding of the software development life-cycle and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with Linux, SQL, Ruby, performance tools, bash scripts and version control systems such as git are also a plus
• CS degree or equivalent experience
