JOB OVERVIEW

Summary
We are looking for full-time content writer to join our team for an automotive e-commerce website.

We are only looking for THE BEST content writer, that both speaks and writes perfect English - including knowing English language nuances. We will not stop until we find the perfect person for this position.

We need someone who can research & write strong & effective copy- product buyer’s guides, FAQ pages, product installation information and other product collateral that will help the buyer in the purchasing decision.

Overall this will be very interesting work if you are passionate about content writing. We are looking for well-researched, high quality writing. This is not your typical content writing job with impossible writing requirements.

We are interested in someone with the right attitude and passion. We want someone that is willing to go the extra mile – we only want high quality, engaging content. We want content that beats all of our competition – combined.

Ideally, this position will lead to a management position where you will be responsible for a small team of content writers. This includes hiring decisions, adhering to deadlines and ensuring processes and standards are upheld.

This position will require you to work out of a co-working facility (paid for by us).


General Responsibilities
• Collaborate with me to improve website experience for prospective customers
• Create and maintain content schedule (calendar, deadlines & topics)
• Document and maintain procedures & processes
• Provide recommendations for improved content & content structure
• Write high quality content that supplements our existing product lines – buyer’s guides, FAQs, product descriptions, etc.
• Use research tools to determine what customer’s are looking for – ie. what questions they need answered prior to purchase

Must have:
• VERY strong English writing skills
• Good analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills (English)

• Friendly

Nice to have:
• Management experience
• Experience with keyword research tools
• An eye for design, for content visuals and supplements


Work Style

In the beginning we will work closely together. As a result, an overlap of 2-4 U.S. Central Time Zone hours will be required starting out. As we develop the relationship and position further, we will work toward standard Philippine working hours.

We are looking for high quality, well researched information.

We will provide resources and direction for research, however you must also be proactive. While we will provide high amounts of direction, there may be times where you’re working with little direction. We require our candidate to be proactive and always working on a project – not sitting around waiting for an answer.

In the beginning we will work through email, gchat, Skype and/or Slack. We will work together to improve our processes.

We will use tools such as Google Spreadsheets or Asana – we aim to document all processes and procedures so that we can scale this position to include a small team.
