Seeking a great candidate with a strong background as a medical transciptionist/transcriber.
At this time, I encourage those with 3+ years background as a strong transcriptionist/transcriber. Due to the intense medical content, this position is *not* for beginners.
Duties:
- Transcribe medical reports from audio files into word documents
- Great ear and ability to transcribe from speakers who speak REALLY FAST, mumble AND slur
- Proof read and edit document for grammar and typos
- Fast turn-around time (24 hours)
Education Requirements:
- Degree in nursing or medical technology preferred
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years as a medical transcriptionist/transcriber (beyond beginner level)
- Type 70 wpm+ (typing test will be given)
- Foot pedal experience will be given highest priority
- Strong English and medical terminology proficiency
- Fast and reliable internet access
- Possess updated computer with MS Word
- Google drive whiz (ability to download and upload docs)
- Computer and tech savvy
- Available on the weekends
Schedule:
- Part time with a potential for full time
- First 2 weeks of training will be PST but after, you can work PHT
- Weekend availability
