JOB OVERVIEW

We are an abstracting company with our main office located in the United States. Our company accesses public records to construct an abstract report comprised of any liens, encumbrances, and judgments that may cloud a real estate title. This could be in the form of unpaid taxes, mortgages, tax liens, personal judgments, and so on. Another aspect researched is the proper conveyance of land and improvements by the valid owners. This is called verifying the chain of title. Mapping out the boundaries of properties is a big component of the job.

The position will be based out of a facility in the philippines.

Skills and Competencies:
• Must be a puzzle solver, critical thinker, and enjoy doing investigative work.
• English must be fluid, including speaking and typing.
• Good Communication skills are a must
• Sometimes what we are looking for can be tricky to find. A desire to see a job through is a must.
• Must be able to work on one’s own and be efficient, effective, and dependable.
• Multitasking – there are multiple monitors with a couple of things open at one time. Must have a knack to deal with a couple of things at one time.
• Must be able to type efficiently and accurately.
• Good computer skills and work ethics are mandatory

A large portion of our operations are conducted on the computer with various software products. The following software programs and skill sets are heavily utilized:
• Microsoft Outlook - email, contacts, and calendar.
• Microsoft Access based software product (not required to know access) – the majority of our work is done within this program. It is not necessary to know access. The database just uses this platform. A pretty robust program has been developed on this. It is user friendly.
• Adobe Acrobat – scanning in documents, dragging and dropping , combining. Used extensively.
• Various county Websites : there are many passwords and locations that are bookmarked within the browser (internet explorer or Firefox).





Duties and Responsibilities:
• The title searching process involves understanding a great deal about real estate law and the impact of liens on property. This involves the impact that taxes, mortgages, liens, easements, restrictions & Covenants, monetary judgments, legal descriptions of property, and much more. You will also be exposed to what goes on behind the scenes in the foreclosure process.
• Ability to manage ones time and work independently. It is fast paced, and the capability to maintain organization is extremely important.
Experience required:
• Title abstracting or searching/examination experience needed
• Please list what real estate databases you’ve had experience with
• Flexible on the time of day one will work
