JOB OVERVIEW

Hello!

My name is Mike and I run Code & Dev. Thank you for taking the time to review this opportunity!

Before starting, I want to emphasize 100% that you need to follow the directions provided. If you don’t, you will not be interviewed for the position. NOTICE: NO BLACKHAT SEO ALLOWED. If your idea of SEO is submitting a website to a directory, do not apply to this task. I refuse to work with anyone who conducts black hat SEO.

The Project:
I'm looking for someone to act as a consistent Search Engine Optimization coordinator to work with on various website projects on multiple brands on a daily basis. If you are interested in working with my company and giving websites a boost on their SEO, we look forward to working with you!

My Experience:
I have managed multiple VAs before for my company and enjoy working online, where we have worked on 100+ brands. I have also worked with natives from several different countries, and have structured communication strategy so that everyone, everywhere has the same opportunity to work with my team. I have worked on multiple start up companies as well as corporate brands to track revenue generation through digital marketing.

Your Training:
I provide a lot of direction for projects to make things as straightforward and efficient as possible. I also provide training to VAs and assistants who show the ability to communicate, be forward thinking, and truly enjoy what they do. With that being said, you must have the skills listed below and have the ability to learn in order to provide the best results possible.

Requirements:
In order to be accepted as a potential candidate to grow with our team, you must respond to each questions below. If you misspell any words, use improper english, or respond with unprofessional formatting, you may be a great worker, but you won’t be able to continue through the hiring process. You must be able to communicate professionally in a native english dialect, as brands in the US are particular about the language used on marketing efforts.

I will work with you for at least 5-10 hours per week to start to make sure we are on the same page and that you have everything you need to complete the task.

Feedback
I am very flexible and open to ideas and like to hear from my VAs regarding things they see, recommendations on work, etc. I really like to be there for my team so I hope that we will work well together now and in the future.

Requirements:

DIRECTIONS - I provide very specific directions on how to follow various projects in order to get an end result that I'm looking for. My team members have the ability to take directions, ask the right questions, and perform the best as possible with what is provided. If you are detail-oriented and interested and working long term with a creative team, this is a great job opportunity for you. If you have problems understanding directions in English, are not able to ask the right questions in response, you will have a hard time working with the team.

COMMUNICATION - If you have limited experience with English, this might not be the best job for you. I'm very particular about how language is used with social media, email, content writing, and team communication. I’m particular about how to communicate directly within the team. If you can’t speak with your teammates, it’s hard to work well together. I don’t mind if english isn’t your first language or you don’t speak native english as long as you can pretend to when speaking with the team or handling projects. Rough english, bad grammar, and choppy sentences are a red flag for me, and you will be put on review for not communicating properly on project tasks or internally with the team.

RESEARCH - Also referred to as “self improvement”, you will need to know how to research, not as a task, but to improve your own skills. I am not paying you to receive training, I am paying you to complete a task. You must be able to research competitive and similar content that is used with American companies so what you right sounds natural and organic. If you can’t do research on your own to better understand directions, this might not be a good fit for you.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Our team uses Slack, Trello, TimeDoctor, SEOmoz, Google Analytics, and Google Drive actively. These tools are all free for you to use, and all require reliable high speed internet, a microphone to take phone calls via google hangouts, skype, or whichever we choose to use. Video camera isn’t required, but is recommended. I advise you to learn as much as you can about these systems, as they are growing global communication power agency tools.

Slack: Slack as a chat app for teams,
Trello: Trello is our project management software
Time Doctor: Time tracking for your work
Google Drive: document storage

These tools are required to complete projects on this task. If you never use these tools before, they are easy to learn, but if you have difficulty learning new collaboration tools, this job might not be the best for you.

HAVE FUN - We are a very casual environment that likes to have fun, and we find that those who we work with are what really makes the experience. Enthusiasm thrives in our work environment and we look forward to including everyone new to our team on projects, ideas, and helping with answering questions.

Thank you again for your time on reviewing this opportunity!

-Mike
