I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting and Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (BSA) from Saint Louis University and Cordillera Career Development College respectively.

I am also currently studying Bachelors of Laws and Letters at Saint Louis University.

I worked at Human Settlements Development Corporation as Accountant III. A Government Owned and or Controlled Corporation which handles the Maharlika Livelihood Complex (MLC) in Baguio City, Philippines. The fundamental duties and responsibilities assigned to me are as follows:

1. Check the reliability and correctness of the monthly Report of Checks Issued and Disbursed by the Disbursing Officer (RCIDDO).
2. Prepare monthly remittances of creditable taxes and final taxes withheld at source from purchases of goods and services for the operations of Maharlika Livelihood Complex (MLC), together with its supporting computations as attachments.

3. Prepare monthly Summary of Collections and Deposits with reference to the daily report of collections given by the cashier.

4. Prepare monthly payroll.

5. Certify monthly billing statements of 625 tenants for their rental fee, electricity, and water bill.

6. Prepare monthly and quarterly remittances of Value Added Taxes collected from the lease operations of Maharlika Livelihood Complex (MLC), may it be in a form of Accounts Receivable or Notes Receivable.

7. Monthly adjustment of accounts through the preparation of Journal Entry Vouchers with complete attachments to support such entry.

8. Prepare monthly Financial Reports for the Maharlika Livelihood Complex (MLC) composed of the Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Notes to Financial Statements, Statement of Income and Expenses, and Statement of Cash Flows, including schedules and other documents to support accounting entries and financial statements.

9. Check the veracity of reports prepared by the Cashier, Bookkeeper, and Administrative Assistant such as, but not limited to Daily Collection Reports including Dishonored Checks, Aging of Accounts and Notes Receivable, and Office Supplies and Maintenance Supplies Inventories respectively.

10. Certify MLC disbursement vouchers as to availability of funds, check completeness of attachments namely, purchase request, canvass, and abstract of open canvass, purchase order, pre and post inspection report, charge invoice and the correctness of all computations made therein.

11. Replenish Petty Cash and Revolving Fund supported by duly filled up vouchers, and official receipts.

12. Maintain and update Subsidiary Ledgers on Assets, Liabilities, Income and Expenses of Maharlika Livelihood Complex (MLC).

13. Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation and all necessary report as required by the Commission on Audit.

14. Prepared the proposed budget and explanations attached therewith for the year 2018.

My first work experience is with the City Government of Baguio, Philippines as an Accountant I. I handled the Inventory and Reconciliation of the City Government of Baguio’s Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE). The details of work assigned to me are as follows:

1. Researched prior year discrepancies in order to understand initial bookkeeping as a preparation for future reconciliation of the physical inventory count being held and recorded by the General Services Office as against the General Ledger of the Accounting Office.

2. Organized the inventory report maintained by the General Services Office in order to manage the database accurately and to keep it up-to-date.

3. Performed bookkeeping, including Property, Plant and Equipment (Procurement to Disposal) physical inventory counts.

4. Prepared the annual report on the Inventory Count of the City Government of Baguio’s Property Plant and Equipment for the years 2015 and 2016.

5. Kept detailed Acknowledgment Receipt of Equipment and Inventory Custodian Slip records and ensured compliance to current legislation.

6. Participated in public biddings held by the City Government of Baguio for the efficient disposal of unserviceable properties and equipment issued to employees of the city.
