I am Marie, and I am currently pursuing my master's degree at the University of the Philippines and also, a faculty member of Mapua Institute of Technology, an ABET Certified Engineering School.
Mapúa Institute of Technology is one of the premiere engineering universities in the Philippines.
I handle Humanities courses such as Logic and Critical Thinking; Ethics; Professional Ethics; Introduction to Philosophy; Philosophy of Technology; Greek, Roman, and Medieval Thought; Oriental Thought; and, World Literature.
As a faculty member, my tasks include the following:
a.) deliver lectures on the subject matter;
b.) develop course materials for students;
c.) develop evaluation tools to assess student learning; and
d.) develop course syllabus (particularly for Logic and Critical Thinking, Professional Ethics, and Philosophy of Technology)
Administrative tasks include:
a.) submit a course portfolio every end of the term;
b.) organize seminars and fora; and
c.) act as a resource speaker for various student-organized, as well as faculty-organized, events and seminars.
Aside from this, I was also an online ESL Teacher in one of the biggest online school in Japan.
As an ESL Tutor, I assist and guide students in developing their command of the English Language. Classes that I handle include lessons in various aspect of the language such as grammar, conversation, and business English.
I also handle specialized lessons for English proficiency tests such as Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) and Test of English as a Foreign Language or (TOEFL).
I also worked in a bank for 2 and a half years. Any task that is administrative and office-related such as email handling and data entry, I am confident I can handle with utmost proficiency.
