Profile Description

As a QS:
• Estimates/quantifies work items based on approved for bidding/construction
drawings, existing field conditions and specifications;
• Identify queries, qualifications made during the course of
quantity take-off.
• Input quantities in the Bill of Quantities prepared by
the Project Lead.
• Prepares cost, quantity take-off, budget, cost reports, cash flows
and projections
• Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction
professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions
• Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
• Assist in the guidance and development of junior surveyors

As a Project Manager:
• Participates in the planning process
• Work as a project resource to support the successful delivery of specific outputs individually or as part of a team
• Build analytical and project management skills as well as developing communication skills including technical
writing
• Undertake document management including drawing registers.
• Successfully complete assigned technical tasks within allotted time frames and budgets
• Assist in project management analysis and benchmarking, to collate project data and compile database for
determining durations of future projects.
• Contribute to a range of project management assignments by assisting in practical tasks, and work with senior
colleagues to ensure programme of work are undertaken and project milestones are met such as planning, project
controls, programme reporting, risk management and general project management functions, and notify more senior
colleagues of any discrepancies to ensure management has access to up-to-date and accurate information to aid their
decision-making
• Understand and comply with risk and compliance principles, taking standard corrective action or reporting unsafe
or inappropriate situations in order to ensure the delivery of project management assignments are not adversely
impacted
• Collect data and help to prepare supporting documentation such as dashboards and reports, to ensure senior
management have quality information to facilitate their decision-making
• Monitor project management processes, share knowledge and provide feedback on existing procedures in order to
identify opportunities for the improvement of processes and systems
• Apply practical methods and expertise to solve problems raised by colleagues in a timely and accurate manner, in
order to effectively support the project management function
• Provide advice on simple project management queries to internal or external stakeholders, escalating more
complex matters to senior colleagues when required, ensuring an efficient and high-quality provision of information
