I have only ever been employed twice, with two companies. Attesting to the long and loyal relationships I am able to maintain with my employers. I am currently looking for a fully remote job role so I can continue pursuing my bachelor's degree (which I still currently lack), and potentially a number of IT certifications in the future (as I transition into an IT based career path)
And I am looking for an opportunity to be employed by a company who would like to leverage the experience I already have, and perhaps also leverage the educational degree, and subsequent IT certifications I will be able to attain in the future.
I am a newbie (and aspiring) virtual assistant. But I do however possess foundational skillsets a virtual assistant should have. And I have rated the associated proficiencies below, according to how said skillsets related to the previous job roles I have held were utilized or applied.
I have managed various teams in the past which required the use of the english language in the workplace. In this capacity, I have coached, mentored, trained and interacted, both verbal and written, with all my staff in English. In a management capacity, I have worked and collaborated with various nationalities across APAC (Australia, Singapore, New Zealand), North America (primarily in the US and Canada, as well as in EMEA (mostly UK) Attending meetings, discussions and catch-ups as well as communicating (email and chat correspondence) with my previous bosses, counterparts and colleagues from these countries was a daily routine.
My writing experience span mostly regular (daily) email correspondence with customers, clients, key stakeholders, organizational counterparts overseas and departmental representatives in various support groups. This required prompt, and professional email correspondence in English. I also assisted in authoring various internal memos for my teams, participated in documenting procedural documents, and assisted in crafting various company policies associated with the teams I managed. I previously led a side-project where my co-Managers and I built a Sharepoint site for our teams where we regularly posted useful articles and write-ups as part of the overall engagement we had with our line groups.
I dabble in the following Adobe Graphic Editing Suites: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. Not entirely an expert (yet), but I am proficient in utilizing these applications. I have done a lot of projects for my kid's school, as well as work related design projects in the past. And I continuously sharpen my craft in this field. I have my own subscription of stock graphic design footages for use when needed, and I have also begun advancing my proficiencies in video editing where where my graphics and design knowledge merges well with.
I have experience using Payroll Administration applications such as Xero, ADP Etime and Kronos in the past managing the timecards, benefits and salaries of my staff.
I previously held customer service orientated roles with Telecommunications and UCaaS service providers and understand the key responsibilities of a customer support staff. I am adept at conversing with customers and clients, providing solutions to their issues, assisting in a technical capacity, as well as maintaining business relationships directly.
In a manager capacity, I have led as well as participated in various project rollouts inclusive of project planning, resource analysis, and stakeholder requirement discussions. These activities include staffing recruitment ramps, talent sourcing and candidate screening, training needs analysis and resource pooling, and eventually deployment. Whilst these projects relate to systems, processes, and products associated with my former programs, I understand the implementation flow and the general context of project management.
