With three years experience in a BPO company, I have earned a lot of learning in the field of Technical Support and Customer Service. This also further enhanced my English communication skills, both oral and written, as our client is US-based and we serve as front liners for our American customers. In the BPO industry, it serves as a means of survival for one to be able to multi-task. So while taking inbound calls, we also document everything t hat transpired in each call and at the same time performing some troubleshooting steps. I also learned the tricks in our client CRM,
so I strongly believe that learning the navigation and operation of a new CRM will be easier for me.
Prior to working in a BPO, I worked as a Disc Jockey/ Account Executive for a local radio station. There, I was able to put into practice the theories I learned in college about Marketing. I often do prospect generation for possible clients. I draft proposals, organize a client meeting and offer partnership or sponsorship for our radio programs. This is also where I learned about voice-overs for radio advertisments, hosting for a live radio show and navigational and operational use of OTS Media, a software mainly used in radio shows. I also learned how to transcribe audio files with this job, although it was very seldom.
I also have knowledge in bookkeeping since my first major in college was in the field of Accountancy. I was able to pass four accounting major subjects before I realized that my passion is in the field of Marketing. Though I quit Accounting, it is not because I find it difficult. I am proud to say that I have good grades in the subject.
I also acquired basic proofreading skills. When I was in elementary, I joined our school paper organization and I specialized in Identifying and Correcting Errors, which is a basic in proofreading. I reached the Regional level for inter-school competitions in this field. I also have passion for writing. I am a regular contributor of articles for our school paper, both in elementary and high school.
With these various experiences, I have maintained a good working relationship with my colleagues and bosses. I also got promoted to higher level in my last company because of my resourcefulness and ability to work with minimal supervision. I also possess excellent leadership skills and can still work competitively despite pressure.
