Vice President for Information of Datalogics Society (2016-2017)
- Datalogics Society is under the Department of Computer Science under the College of Arts and Sciences. Its objectives are to initiate student-related activities, especially those related to Computing fields in general, which shall aid the members in their total physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development; encourage fellowship and camaraderie among the members of the organization, school community, and outside the campus; establish a strong network of communication between the members of the society and to act as the voice of the population when the need arises through the methods of referendum and other democratic means; participate actively and provide whatever support is necessary in any university, organization, or cross-organization activities; be active and aware citizens of the nation and to lend out a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in need; and enlighten the minds of the members such that they will become active and competent professionals in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Science.
- The responsibilities of the VP-Info are to propose and recommend activities that will increase the members’ knowledge of topics related to the Computing Fields; take responsibility in fulfilling such activities; inform the Block Representatives and Block Treasurer of the upcoming activities or meetings of the organization; and assume all the duties and responsibilities of the President in the event of a vacancy in such office if the Vice-President for Internal Affairs, Vice-President for External Affairs, and Vice-President for Finance are absent.
Assistant of the Vice President for Information of Datalogics Society (2015-2016)
- The responsibilities of the Assistant VP Info are to assist the Vice-President for Information in fulfilling his/her duties; help propose and recommend activities that will increase the members’ knowledge of topics related to the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology; and assume all the duties and responsibilities of the Vice-President for Information in the event of a vacancy in such office.
Editor-In-Chief of USC All Access (2015-2016)
- USC All Access (www.facebook.com/USCAllAccess) is a project formulated by the Datalogics Society which aims to comprehensively relay quick and reliable information to the Carolinian populace all throughout the USC Days through various social networking platforms. Its goals and objectives are to cover 60% or more of the events conducted during USC Days; deliver up-to- date, relevant and rich content media during USC Days through social networking platforms; supplement and further strengthen the online presence and interaction of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) during USC Days; empower students of Department of Computer and Information Sciences and of the University during USC Days by participating in the project; and establish a vibrant virtual interaction between SSC and the students in the celebration of USC Days.
- The responsibilities of the Editor-In-Chief are to formulate the look and feels of USC All Access for the current year; guide the Video and Photo Head to be able to empower their own teams and support their members;
and to make sure that the set standards and quality per video and graphics are attained.
