As a Graphic Designer for Apparel and Accessories, my responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Design quality merchandise that will appeal and sell to the desired target market
-Prepare accurate and complete product specifications sheets as a basis for garment prototyping and mass production in a timely manner
-Examine sample garments on and off models then modify designs to achieve desired effects
-Select materials and production techniques to be used for products
-Adapt other designers' ideas for the brand’s market
-Collaborate with other designers to coordinate special products and designs
-Develop a thorough knowledge of the market to know consumer demand and preferences in terms of style, comfort, and price
-Conduct research on the latest fashion trends through the Internet, magazines, and other fashion research materials
-Monitors salability of merchandise to determine progress and performance of established product lines and new products
-Understand Design Principles: using color combination design elements and the execution of design using various software. Good drawing ability and CAD skills
-Knowledgeable in Garment Technology: basic fiber and textile properties, basic garment construction and patterns, fashion illustration and design
-Brand familiarity and its target market
