Real Estate Accounting functions:
• Responsible for all accounting procedures (banking, leasing, depreciation and reconciliation of general ledger)
• In charge of bookkeeping
• In charge of bank reconciliations
• Responsible for preparation of month end reports on both accounting system and Excel
• Responsible for calculation and lodgement of payroll tax
• Accruals, depreciation schedules, etc as part of month end preparation/processing
• Preparation of various accounting reports as required
• Prepares billings for Rent, CUSA and Utilities and other Accounts Receivable functions
Australian Accounting functions:
• Responsible for all accounting procedures (banking, leasing, depreciation and reconciliation of general ledger)
• In charge of bank reconciliations
• Responsible for preparation of month end reports on both accounting system and Excel
• Responsible for calculation and lodgement of payroll tax
• Administer payroll and petty cash for Manila Operations
•Reconcile Payroll and Petty Cash
• Co-ordinate preparation of budgets and reviews
• Liaising with banks and other partners
• Accruals, depreciation schedules, etc as part of month end preparation/processing.
• Preparation of the Cashflow Reports each day for the company’s executives
• Preparation of various accounting reports as required
General Accounting functions:
• Month end financial accounting and control procedures - including month end journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions 5 Day Closing (IFRS - Canadian)
• Prepares monthly trust fund reports for deposit to Trustee Banks
• Expense analysis and other operational reports including investigation of variances
• Prepares local statutory reportorial requirements (Reports to the BIR, Insurance Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission)
• Prepares comprehensive monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts assigned by the section head and maintain their reconciled and current status in accordance with the Local and Global Accounts Reconciliation Guidelines & Standards.
• Proactively identifies potential risks and resolve any accounting and control issues based on these risks; this includes coordination with the related units of the clearing of items affecting the reconciliation, elevation of complex issues to management for prompt resolution, and definition of action items and time lines when to resolve the issues
• Provides management with useful and accurate financial information as required by CFO, internal and external auditors and the Insurance Commission. Standard reports to deliver include supporting worksheets for the Annual Statements, Monthly Reconciliation Status Report and other ad hoc reports
• Participates in routine fixed asset physical inventory count to provide check and balance on establishing validity and existence of assets if necessary
Audit functions:
• Review prior year work papers, if applicable, to gain an understanding of the current engagement
• Perform tests of financial data to support conclusions and recommendations
Accounts Payable functions:
• Set invoices up for payment
• Managed vendor accounts
• Monitored accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Cheque runs including matching cheques to invoices for mailing and filing invoices
• Communication and resolution of issues with suppliers and staff as required including vendor statement reconciliations
• Match, audit, enter and reconcile invoices/ expense reports received for payment for assigned accounts ensuring discounts are maximized wherever possible and proper authorization is evident
Office staff functions:
• Filing of documents.
• Organizing diaries and appointments.
• Attend to calls from clients and make calls to clients.
