Profile Description

I have been working as a Communication Specialist in a government research and development institute for 13 years now. 

Specializing in science communication, my main tasks were on the popularization of materials to make them easily understandable to the general public; crafting of information, communication and educational materials such as brochures, leaflets, and teaching modules; writing of news and feature stories; writing of video scripts; crafting of policy briefs/ papers, and developing and evaluation of project proposals. I have also done editing and proofreading of scientific journal articles, letters, and thesis/ manuscripts of local and foreign students.

I also have knowledge in photography and videography as I have been a member of a multimedia organization since 2007. I am also capable of managing content for social media accounts.

Besides my experience as a Communications Specialist, I am also a Development Worker having graduated with a Master in Community Development degree at the University of the Philippines. I was once an NSTP (National Service Training Program) facilitator in De La Salle University and have handled a community project there. I have also initiated some community development projects, and have undergone training in Community Development thru JICA in Japan last year.
