My last job gave me the opportunity to be retooled and gain new skills and knowledge pertaining to travel and leisure services, ranging from flight inquiry to customer validation, among others. I am confident to say that learning a new programming tool like Qik script, and understanding Sabre GDS response, took me about 2 months. I also got quickly acquainted and familiar with the data constitution.
Before that, I jumped from being a windows-based developer for 10 years to a mainframe developer for the length of 6 years in Singapore.
I have been exposed with Visual Basic, Mainframe, JCL, SQL programming,
Agile Development, and BA tools such as Cognos Reporting. I have decent skill with systems analysis and design and technical documentation.
Being in the workforce for more than 15 years, I've had the opportunity to work with different nationalities and I am very comfortable speaking, listening and writing in English.
I write poetry and have a blog that I visit and update from time to time. In my line of work, I have also been exposed with writing POCs, drafting user manual, and technical documentations.
I have more than 15 years of working as a developer, systems analyst and have done quite a few QA tasks on the side.
I am very adept with doing root cause analysis, and documenting as necessary.
