Application Developer

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Founded four years ago, the company is located in the United States. The company is a marketing services company with clients from across the U.S. The company is small but growing; however, the CEO of the company formerly ran a 125-person former two-time Inc. 500 company.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
The company is looking for a full-time application developer skilled in development languages with the ability to develop web applications (such as project management software, API integration, etc.). As part of this role, the Application Developer will work on a variety of differing coding projects. Experience in applications/projects requiring PHP, Javascript, ASP.NET, HTML5, and MySQL is required. Applications will be developed for online use as web development projects.

DUTIES
• Develop web applications such as project management software utilizing coding languages appropriate for the application/task
• Develop web applications that integrate with other applications via API access
• Experience with scrum/agile programming methodologies is a plus
• Experience with integrating open source plugins/coding is a plus
• Plan projects and document projects
• Participates with the team in meeting assigned deadlines and completing projects
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Solid experience and strong ability in key web coding languages including PHP, MySQL, ASP.NET, HTML5, and Javascript
• Prior experience in developing web applications
• Very good verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to hit project deadlines
• Attention to detail and follow-through is a must

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree related to computer programming or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5+ years of progressive work experience in application development
